Luka Zupan

Luka Zupan is Partner at KPMG Switzerland and heads the Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance service line. He is supporting numerous national and multi-national companies in the development, roll-out/implementation, administration and review/audit of the main corporate governance and compliance processes.

His area of competence includes: Advising on the development, implementation and transformation of internal audit functions (incl. best practice comparison to national and multinational standards) // Conducting internal audit quality reviews based on the IIA IPPF standards // Managing large internal audit co- and out-sourcing engagements // Developing, implementing and reviewing/auditing risk management systems (based on ISO 31000) // Advising client in developing and documenting new or transforming an existing internal controls systems (based on Swiss and SOX standards applying COSO2013) // Advising on the development, implementation and review of compliance management systems (using IDW980 standard) // Developing and implementing assurance coordination and collaboration process to allow for effective and efficient corporate governance processes // Conducting assurance related reviews based on ISAE3000 standards.

Luka is the co-author of numerous thought leadership articles / survey on Internal Audit, Risk Management and Compliance. He is also involved in lecturing and has presented at conferences on subjects related to Internal Audit, Internal Controls and Governance, Risk and Compliance.
