Newfoundland and Labrador's Finance Minister Siobhan Coady delivered the province's 2022 budget on April 7, 2022. The budget anticipates a deficit of $400 million for 2021-22 and projects a deficit of $351 million for 2022-23 and $309 million for 2023-24. Although the budget does not announce any changes to the corporate or personal tax rates, it eliminates Retail Sales Tax on home insurance for one year, and introduces a new Green Technology Tax Credit and Manufacturing and Processing Investment Tax Credit, among other changes.
