Eligible corporations now have until March 31, 2022 to purchase qualifying machinery and equipment and receive a rebate equal to the British Columbia PST they paid. The province announced that it has extended its PST rebate period on select machinery and equipment, which was originally only available for qualifying purchases between September 17, 2020 and September 30, 2021.
The province notes that all rebate applications must be received by September 30, 2022. In addition, the province says PST invoiced before the March 31, 2022 deadline but paid after that date does not qualify for the rebate.
