Darren Spreadbury

Partner, Tax - Global Mobility Services

KPMG in Canada

Darren has been a member of KPMG’s Global Mobility Services (GMS) practice for over five years and has over 16 years of “big four” experience in the tax field. After accumulating many years of experience in the expatriate tax discipline, he moved to KPMG in Grand Cayman with his family for a four year assignment; essentially “walking in the shoes” of an assignee.  When in Grand Cayman, Darren expanded the breadth of his US tax knowledge through gaining a solid technical comprehension of captive insurance companies and hedge funds.

Darren joined KPMG’s GMS practice in 2001. In addition to providing cross-border tax consulting and compliance services to both large and small global expatriate programs, Darren has extensive work experience in various other Canadian and US compliance matters and thus has a multi-functional approach to the global mobility area.  Darren is the KPMG GMS Training leader for Toronto, overseeing the training of the Toronto GMS practice.
