The KPMG Ideation Challenge will provide students across Canada the opportunity to work with their peers to develop a solution to a business problem and share it with KPMG leadership!
You will ignite your passion to create solutions to real-world problems, collaborate with students from across the country, develop your business skills and grow your network within KPMG.
Students are invited to apply as either an accounting student to our Case Competition (CPA and accounting) or as a general business or STEM student to our Innovation Challenge.
The Case Competition for accounting and CPA students will provide you a taste of what a CFE bootcamp is like at KPMG, as well as give you an idea of the CPA program support that is provided by our firm. Working in teams with peers in your region, you will collaborate to solve a real-world business problem by completing a case study through a CPA lens, receiving valuable feedback from industry professionals. This stream is ideal for students who are interested in our audit or tax careers and pursuing the CPA designation one day.
The Innovation Challenge for general business or STEM students is an opportunity to experience a condense version of a design-thinking workshop. Working with a group of your peers, you will be asked to be creative, ideate and apply your diverse skills to a challenge statement that is reflective of a business problem that KPMG has experienced with a client. This stream is ideal for students who are interested in our advisory and digital careers.
Students who participate in KPMG Ideation Challenge 2023 will first create a 4-minute video submission providing a solution to a real-world business problem. Top video submissions will then proceed to a regional competition. Winners of the regional round will be invited to our national competition where teams will present their solutions to a panel of KPMG leaders.
Prizes for winning teams may include KPMG swag, gift cards, scholarships, and a guaranteed interview for an open KPMG role in a future recruitment cycle!
