Since 2016, he is the Head for the Deal Advisory practice of KPMG in Brazil and in the South America region, providing services to clients through the entire deal cycle, in transactions including acquisitions, sales, carve-outs, funding, partnerships and joint ventures, restructuring and solvency strategies. The Deal Advisory & Strategy practice in South America includes approximately 500 specialists in the service lines Financial Due Diligence, Valuation, M&A, Integrated Value Delivery, Corporate Strategy, Integration & Separation, Debt Advisory, Financial Restructuring, Turnaround, Solvency Strategies, Infrastructure Finance, Securitization Advisory, Equity Capital Markets, Infrastructure Asset Delivery and Asset Management,
During his career at KPMG, Marco had relevant leadership roles including National Industry leader for Private Equity and a member of the Brazilian Markets Steering Committee during 11 years, National Segment Leader for Asset Management during 9 years, leader for Financial Services in the Rio de Janeiro office during 8 years, the Latin America representative member of the KPMG Global Financial Instruments Topic Team during 4 years, as well as the head for the corresponding sub-committees in Brazil and Latin America. For all these roles Marco actively participated and continued to support in the development and selection of his successors as he had taken over other challenges.
Marco André is a member of the Regulations Committee – CER of the Brazilian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (ABVCAP), and a member of the Brazilian Institute of Independent Auditors (IBRACON). He was a Director of the Board of the Rio de Janeiro American Chamber (AMCHAM-RJ) in 2013-2014.
