We are pleased to invite you to the KPMG Sustainability and Customer, Sales and Marketing Advisory event on Wednesday, 15 February 2023, where we will present new trends and insights on the relationship between Customer Perception & Engagement of Sustainability Programs.
During this event we will present findings from the recently launched Me, my life, my wallet research by KPMG with insights on customer behaviors and the sustainability agenda.
We will address a number of relationships between generational profiles and attitudes versus sustainability and look at a series of cases where Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) significantly contributed to brand perception and growth. We will also examine other instances where this was not the case, and a negative impact to reputation and sales were registered.
The reality nowadays is that customers have the power of their wallet to influence sustainable products and services that are aligned with their needs. Many consumers say that they care about sustainability but not all are willing to pay a premium price and there’s even a small fraction of them reacting negatively towards sustainability messaging.
This is why understanding how customers engage - or not - in sustainable behaviors is vital to unlocking the potential of sustainability offerings.
