On 16 June 2019 KPMG in Bangladesh held its annual Budget event at a city hotel for the benefit of the firm’s clients. Attendees included representatives of some of the largest taxpayers of Bangladesh.
A detailed presentation was made by the firm on the proposals of Finance Bill 2019, including the new VAT Act, followed by a Question & Answer session. Mr. Iqtiaruddin Md. Mamun, First Secretary, Tax policy and Mr. Zakir Hossain, Additional Commissioner, Customs, Excise and VAT Commissioner of National Board of Revenue were present at the event to respond to queries by the attendees.
