Lisa Brathwaite

Lisa is the lead audit partner in KPMG BEC’s Antigua office. Lisa works primarily in the financial services sector but has also worked on entities in various other sectors. Working on these varied audit engagements and being actively involved in the research of specific engagement issues, has enabled Lisa to acquire a solid working knowledge of IFRS.

Most recently Lisa has been a member of the KPMG teams providing IFRS 9 training and other related services across the Eastern Caribbean.

Lisa has also been previously involved on compliance audits and also worked on a SOX engagement, where identified controls were tested for any gaps.

Lisa has had the opportunity to be on assignment with KPMG in Toronto, working in the Global Audit Learning & Development team from 2009-2010. As part of this team, she was responsible for the development of global training on the Clarified International Standards on Auditing and was also involved in the development of global training on International Financial Reporting Standards (‘IFRS’).

As an Audit Engagement Partner, Lisa was responsible for the execution of the engagements from planning through to completion using a risk based approach. She also leads the reporting to the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors on key matters arising on the engagement.
