KPMG Australia has announced it will open a newly-located office in the sought-after Parramatta Square precinct of fast-growing Greater Western Sydney. The move sees the firm relocating from its existing Parramatta office in 2023.

“Parramatta CBD is on track to rival Sydney as an office destination,” said Pierre Wakim, Partner in Charge KPMG Enterprise, Greater Western Sydney. “The core is expanding and we are delighted KPMG Enterprise will be at the heart of a jobs, infrastructure and investment hub in Greater Western Sydney. It’s been an amazing few years of growth for our mid-market KPMG Enterprise business in Sydney and we need larger premises which support the workplace lifestyle of the future.”

Mr Wakim said: “Walker Corporation’s No. 3 Parramatta Square ticks all our boxes, and more, and we are excited to have signed a lease and be moving to the best office building in the city.”

He said construction was expected to commence in September 2022 ahead of the move in March 2023.

Walker Chief Executive Officer David Gallant said: “KPMG is the perfect fit for Parramatta Square’s evolution as the number one business destination in Western Sydney.”

“Our award winning sustainable, premium office space gives KPMG unrivalled opportunity to create superb flexible workspaces connected to trains, light rail, buses and ferries as well as outstanding end of trip facilities for those who want to ride, run or walk to work.”

Employee and client experience focus

The new state-of-the-art building at 3 Parramatta Square will see KPMG extending its current footprint to occupy 3500 sqm of the building, which uniquely features an open-air space of 400 sqm exclusive to the firm. Mr Wakim said the move supports KPMG Enterprise’s future growth opportunities, focusing on an improved employee and client experience.

“It will be an exciting milestone to move to a building with such excellent client and staff amenity,” Mr Wakim added: “The new space is special. We have been rethinking the purpose and amenities of the workplace, coming out of COVID. It offers us the opportunity to deliver a flexible environment with a range of attributes targeting wellbeing and emerging technologies. We’re creating an Immersion room that provides a platform designed to trigger creativity, collaboration, and learning. It enables our clients and teams to think differently about solutions to problems and helps accelerate idea generation, prototyping and delivery of solutions through interaction, creativity and collaborative design.

And our open-air terrace space will facilitate meetings and positive interaction for staff and clients alike. Features such as technology enablement on the roof terrace will support excellence in communications in the new location. We also aim to further fulfil our emissions reduction goals in a highly rated low environmental footprint building.”

KPMG Enterprise has a focus on reducing emissions and sustaining its environmental performance through its building footprint. The move supports the firm’s commitment to being net zero by optimising energy and resource efficiency in our operations.

Mr Wakim said that KPMG Enterprise’s new location at 3 Parramatta Square would not only provide outstanding End of Trip facilities but also was in the heart of the Parramatta CBD with excellent access.

“In choosing our new home, we were particularly conscious of delivering ease of access and especially benefitting from the great public transport options of KPMG’s new address at 3 Parramatta Square.”
