As the lead for KPMG Australia's National Infrastructure, Government & Healthcare practice, Heather manages the CFO Advisory’s service to the public sector. She has over 25 years’ professional services experience, which includes more than 15 years working with and within government agencies. In 2015, Heather joined KPMG.
Heather specialises in working with agencies to develop solutions to complex budgeting and reporting challenges and to mitigate budgetary and reporting risks. She has a strong understanding of public sector financial and performance management frameworks, which she uses to ensure a holistic approach to problem solving. She is recognised for her understanding of outcome-based resource allocation frameworks that include implementation opportunities and challenges, as well as her experience in public sector financial and budgetary reporting.
Heather has worked with and led multidisciplinary teams serving various agencies and sectors across multiple jurisdictions. She is sought out for her pragmatic approach and focus on achieving results for public sector clients, and has a deep understanding of the public sector context and its unique stakeholder landscape.
Within Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, Heather has held governance positions, and chaired a Commonwealth public sector agency audit and risk committee. A regular speaker at professional events, Heather is sought out for her engaging delivery and topical insights.
