The Financial Management team helps clients to develop or transform the way their finance function operates by advising on process improvement changes, technology enhancement or enablement, management and financial reporting, operating models and frameworks.

Our team is diverse group with varied interests and backgrounds. They are fun, supportive and understanding of the challenges clients and colleagues may face. Senior staff are very informative and engage well with junior staff to ensure they feel valued and motivated. We’re collaborative in the way we work and everyone is willing to help each other.

There is no average day – which is what makes the job interesting. Some days you’ll be working at the client site, hand-in-hand with them as we build an optimal solution to their business problem. Other days are spent working in the office on client deliverables, internal projects, assisting with proposals, attending team meetings or undertaking training.

KPMG’s Agile Working policy means that you can be flexible with your schedule. Longer hours may be required sometimes to finish a deliverable, but work can be done from anywhere meaning you can manage you work and personal commitments. We have a great culture and do extra things outside of work including after work drinks and dinners.

Your first year will expand on what you’ve learned at university. You’ll acquire many new skills as well as gain plenty of experience. As you develop an understanding of the KPMG business model, you’ll learn how we develop trusted relationships with clients and work to deliver the best solutions.

You will develop technical skills in financial management as well as improve your IT skills and presentation skills. You’ll develop knowledge of different industries and also learn how work closely within your project team to ensure key deliverables are met.
