Angolan banking sector analysis

This publication looks at the development of the banking sector in Angola and intends to be an important research tool and an accurate portrayal of the financial sector.

This analysis comes at a difficult time for the Angolan and World economy, so KPMG also present a set of challenges that we consider to be critical and also structural for the future of banking and, simultaneously, of Angola.

Due to their role in society, their capacity and their resources, financial institutions are and will be a key element in supporting and developing economies and therefore a decisive element in the success of any development and diversification strategies, specifically to combat the current environment.

In the specific case of Angola, the banks should not only continue to be the driving force of the economy but will certainly be the main drivers of the necessary modernization and diversification of the economy.
