Value Added Tax (VAT) Code – Law no. 7/19, of 24 April
On April 24 Law no. 7/19 was published, approving the Value Added Tax (“VAT”) Code.
This Law, which revokes the Consumption Tax, republished by the Legislative Presidential Decree no. 3.º-A/14, of October 21, as well the Stamp Duty foreseen in the no. 15 of the Table (customs operations) referred to in the Legislative Presidential Decree at stake, that approved the Revision and Republication of the Stamp Duty Code, will enter into force on July 1.
