Dubai, 16 November 2023. KPMG has announced the appointment of Damian Grice as Partner and Chief Operating Officer (COO) for its Lower Gulf firm. The move comes after a series of strong additions to KPMG’s senior leadership team.
Damian brings with him a wealth of experience in transformation-focused leadership, spanning over 22 years in both professional and financial services. Damian has been a prominent figure in the UAE's financial landscape since 2013, serving as a Chief Operating Officer and Financial Services Executive. He has held key roles in some of the region's most prominent financial institutions, such as First Abu Dhabi Bank, and Greenstone Equity Partners.
Before making his mark in the UAE, Damian held leadership positions at Barclays Bank in London. He played a pivotal role as Chief of Staff for the Global COO and Global Head of Innovation for the Corporate Bank. His earlier career was shaped at consultancies in London, where he showcased his managerial prowess as part of the Banking and Capital Markets group.
