Bhaskar leads the Accounting and Finance practice of KPMG Lower Gulf, and has over 16 years of professional experience serving clients in various industries. He started his career with KPMG in 2012 in Mumbai before joining the Dubai practice in 2014.
He has advised large corporate groups, global financial services institutions, national and multinational banks, insurance companies, non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), sovereign wealth funds, real estate developers, and regional energy and power companies. He has led various complex transformative projects involving advice on appropriate accounting for consolidating and implementing reporting systems in the Middle East.
Bhaskar works closely with Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) and their finance teams to establish and improve the operations of the finance function, integrate new acquisitions, and adopt or resolve technical accounting issues innovatively. He also advises clients on challenging and complex issues related to transactions, business decisions, regulatory changes, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and partnerships—from creation to exit.
He is a subject matter expert and regularly provides in-depth technical accounting advice to clients on various issues under IFRS, US GAAP, and Indian GAAP, and has spoken on these topics extensively at various forums. Bhaskar is now based in the UAE but leverages his strategic capabilities and experience to support a network of customers regionally.
