Giorgi Macharashvili

Giorgi manages the transfer pricing team at KPMG Lower Gulf. He has more than ten years of experience working with public and private organizations on complex issues in the areas of international taxation and transfer pricing. Giorgi has profound experience in drafting and implementing transfer pricing legislation and conducting transfer pricing audits of multinational enterprises. He has also worked on managing cross-border transaction projects across numerous industries on specific topics including inter alia, transfer pricing issues related to services, PEs, financing, and intangibles. Prior to joining KPMG Lower Gulf, Giorgi was a transfer pricing manager at KPMG Georgia, as well as the chief transfer pricing auditor at the Georgian Tax Authorities (GTA) where he was an active representative of the GTA in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s (OECD) working party 6, focusing on base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS) actions 8-10.
