Aqeel Al Lawati

Aqeel, leading KPMG's public sector in Oman, brings over 25 years of experience in professional services, consumer business, investment management, and financial services. Engaging globally, regionally, and locally, he specializes in strategic business initiatives, strategy development, implementation, and process improvements, particularly in large-scale public sector business integration projects. Aqeel has successfully managed business strategy formulation for financial services clients, including strategic options, financial restructuring, public bond and share issues, and mergers and acquisitions. His expertise extends to risk consulting, internal auditing, and deal advisory projects for strategic clients in the oil and gas and logistics sectors. Aqeel holds a BA in accounting and finance management from the University of Essex, UK, and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
