Alfonso Gutierrez

Alfonso leads KPMG Lower Gulf’s Cloud Advisory and Transformation Services. Prior to joining the firm, he spearheaded a regional telecommunications group’s cloud adoption efforts, building differential professional service capabilities and Cloud Centers of Excellence in Cloud Adoption and Cloud Transformation Services.

Alfonso also spent 20 years at a large multinational professional services company, specializing in IT services and consulting. He was responsible for leading their cloud and infrastructure services business in Spain, South Africa and Ireland. With experience spanning a range of industries and large-scale enterprises, he brings a unique perspective to all areas of cloud advisory, strategy and adoption. He also has experience in helping organizations and financial institutions adopt cloud technologies, DevOps, application modernization, infrastructure rationalization and cloud strategies from conceptual stage till implementation.

Alfonso holds an MBA from IE Business School and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from University Polytechnic of Madrid. He frequently speaks at executive roundtables and events and has published articles in industry magazines.

On a personal front, Alfonso enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He is passionate about golf, building model wooden ships and football.
