Sigi Zielinski
Managing Director, International Tax
Sigi Zielinski has more than 10 years of experience advising multinational corporations and financial institutions on international tax issues. Sigi works with a variety of private equity, U.S. multinational, and foreign-owned clients, providing tax planning and compliance services. As part of the U.S. Inbound Tax network of KPMG LLP, Sigi regularly assists inbound clients with a variety of tax issues and works closely with KPMG professionals from the network of KPMG International firms.
Sigi's specific experience includes providing tax advice on acquisition and exit structuring issues as well as ongoing U.S. tax compliance assistance. She also supports her multinational clients with a variety of international tax issues, such as tax planning for inbound and outbound investments, international financing structures, and provision reviews. In addition, she advises clients on the ongoing impact of U.S. tax reform provisions (e.g., GILTI, BEAT, FDII, and FTCs) and related planning opportunities and assists clients with assessing the effect of global tax reform (e.g., BEPS).
Sigi is a frequent instructor at the KPMG Tax Business School and has published on U.S.-Germany tax issues in a variety of tax publications. Sigi has a JD degree from New York Law School and a Doctorate in Taxation from the Martin-Luther-University in Halle-Wittenberg, Germany.
