Office Managing Partner, Audit
Brandon Wilcox is the Denver Office Managing Partner and an audit partner in the Denver office Financial Services practice. Brandon was promoted to partner in 2007. He has over 20 years of experience providing audit services to real estate, engineering and construction, financial services, and technology companies. He has deep international experience, having served various multinational clients in both the United States and Germany.
Professional and Industry Experience
Brandon has significant experience leading and managing global audit engagements, interfacing with key client personnel, overseeing and reviewing work completed by the engagement team, coordinating with other offices and auditors, and auditing specific high-risk technical audit areas.
Brandon brings insight and experience with respect to Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings, initial and secondary registration statements, public debt offerings, mergers and acquisitions, consents, and comfort letters, as well as various technical accounting matters and audits of internal control in accordance with Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) standards. He is a designated SEC reviewing partner.
He has served as the lead and technical accounting partner for several clients and has worked with large SEC registrants, initial public offerings (IPO), U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) conversions, and is a designated IFRS reviewing partner.
Brandon was located in the KPMG office in Munich, Germany from 2006 to 2009. Since returning from Germany, he has been the signing partner primarily for real estate, engineering and construction, and investment management clients. His SEC reviewing partner and IFRS reviewing partner roles have primarily been in these industries as well.
In 2016, Brandon completed a one-year rotation in the KPMG National Office where he further strengthened his auditing and technical accounting expertise by working with engagement teams across the country on PCAOB inspection matters and solving complex technical accounting questions.
