Martin Mueller

Martin Mueller is a senior manager in the KPMG Information Reporting & Withholding Tax (IRW) Services practice. Martin manages the firm’s federal, state, and AEOI reporting alert services. Martin has experience working on client research and compliance projects related to reviewing and documenting client information, analyzing reporting exposure, and assisting in Forms W-8, W-9, and 1099 compliance projects.

Martin previously worked with the KPMG International Tax practice on research memos across a wide array of complex transactions. At the onset of FATCA and CRS, he began working with the KPMG AEOI Updates & Tracking Service project to identify and analyze foreign government publications and announcements to determine AEOI changes around the world. His background in international reporting provided a natural transition to federal and state information reporting, where he helps the IRW team across a number of projects.

Martin has authored articles appearing in the Practising Law Institute (PLI), Taxes: The Tax Magazine, and the Journal of Taxation of Financial Products.

Martin holds an LLM degree from Northwestern University, JD and MBA degrees from Florida State University, and a BS degree from the University of Georgia.
