Erin McCloskey

Erin is a partner in KPMG's Department of Professional Practice (DPP) with over fifteen years of experience providing financial statement audits. Erin joined DPP in July 2015. Erin currently focuses on financial reporting requirements of the Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) rules and regulations and supports engagement teams on technical SEC matters. She closely monitors the regulator's rulemaking process, contributes to the drafting of the Firm's formal responses to proposed rules, authors technical publications on various SEC topics, and facilitates updates on SEC financial reporting matters both on webcasts and at live presentations.
During her time in DPP Erin's responsibilities also included conducting internal quality reviews of audits, monitoring the activities of audit standard setters on multiple proposed auditing standards and assisting with the Firm's formal response on those proposed standards, supporting engagement teams on various reporting and audit and accounting issues, and authoring several publications on multiple accounting topics. Erin was also involved in international financial reporting matters.
Previously, Erin spent four years in KPMG's Auckland, New Zealand office, where she provided audit services to several public and private companies in accordance with IFRS. In addition to her client responsibilities, Erin acted as team leader for the Audit practice's Consumer Industrial Markets group where she was responsible for recruitment, workflow management, and division budgeting.
Prior to New Zealand, Erin was a senior manager in KPMG's Philadelphia office, where she provided audit services to large SEC registrants in accordance with PCAOB requirements and U.S. GAAP. Her experiences ranged from managing and supervising the execution of audit engagements, including public companies, private companies, and not-for-profit entities; and addressing industry specific matters. She has experience in the power and utilities, for-profit and not-for-profit healthcare, and consumer and industrial markets industries.
Erin is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Pennsylvania and New York.
