Wendy Lewis
Office Managing Partner, Audit
Wendy is an Audit partner with over 25 years of experience providing audit of financial statements and internal control services to both public and private companies. Throughout her career, she has consistently demonstrated our culture and values and cultivated deep relationships with clients and community leaders.
Wendy joined the firm in 1997 and was admitted to the partnership in 2010. She also completed a three-year rotation in the KPMG Department of Professional Practice in New York where she provided assistance in technical accounting, reporting, and auditing matters to audit engagement teams. Wendy has also participated in company filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and has been involved in mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, Wendy serves companies that have large alternative investment and endowment portfolios.
Wendy began her career in the KPMG Richmond office after graduating from Virginia Union University. She has been a lead campus recruiter partner for over 10 years and served as a KPMG national instructor. Wendy serves as a local office partner champion for the AA BRG. She is a past local Richmond chapter President of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA). Most recently, she was named as Chair of the Virginia Board of Accountancy (VBOA).
She is a licensed CPA in the state of Virginia and a member of the AICPA and the VSCPA.
