Joe Bruno
Principal, International Tax
Joe Bruno leads the U.S. Inbound Tax Network for KPMG LLP (KPMG), which consists of KPMG Tax professionals who work closely with KPMG International firm professionals to assist non-U.S.-based companies with operations and investments in the United States. In this role, Joe's focus is on helping inbound clients with a wide range of tax-related issues, including tax controversy services, regulatory change, value chain management, mergers and acquisitions, and tax function operating model transformation. He is also a member of the KPMG Technology, Media & Telecommunications and Financial Services industry networks, and he serves as the global lead tax principal for two premier KPMG clients.
Joe has more than 16 years of international tax experience, working in Big Four public accounting. As a KPMG International Tax principal, he handles a range of international tax issues with a particular emphasis on international merger and acquisition transactions and cross-border financing. He also advises clients on core international tax subject matters, such as foreign tax credit planning, holding company planning, subpart F, GILTI, FDII, and withholding and information tax reporting.
Joe is a frequent speaker at industry and internal education and training events on U.S. international and cross-border tax issues. He is a member of the International Fiscal Association.
Joe has a JD degree from Hofstra University School of Law and a BS degree, summa cum laude, in accounting from St. Francis College.
