Trevor has over 30 years of insurance actuarial experience, 25 of which were with KPMG.
A qualified actuary, he is the sector lead for life insurance across the UK firm as well as overseeing the actuarial and insurance risk practice, leading assignments on financial reporting, capital, Solvency II and transaction related assignments.
Trevor has a deep understanding of current regulatory issues impacting UK and global insurers and has previously worked on significant assignments with both the Association of British Insurers (ABI) and the Financial Services Authority (FSA).
He has acted as an expert for both the Prudential Regulatory Authority (PRA) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). He has carried out assignments for Boards to provide assurance on a variety of issues including liaising with the PRA. He has been Group Chief Actuary of a global insurer with operating entities across Europe, Asia and the US.
Trevor also has considerable experience of transaction related assignments, including high profile mergers and acquisitions where he has lead the actuarial advice to Boards and their key shareholders - which cover most of Asia the US and the UK. He has worked on both sell and buy side mandates, including restructuring with profit and non-profit funds on acquisition such as a mutual being bought by a proprietary company.
He also has extensive experience of capital restructuring projects including market listings, capital raising exercises and innovative solutions to deliver material capital benefits, often including several liaisons with the regulators in a number of cases.
