Brony is a Partner at KPMG in Canada’s Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Corporate Tax practice with over 15 years of tax experience in corporate, transaction and international tax.

Brony focuses on domestic and cross-border tax planning, transaction tax services and corporate reorganization. He routinely advises on tax compliance and day-to-day tax advisory matters. Brony also has significant experience in Canadian international tax matters where he advises his clients on cross-border restructuring, group financing optimization, global cash repatriation strategies, legal entity rationalization, surplus study, and FAPI calculations.

Leveraging from his wide range of technical experience, Brony supports his clients in all aspects of taxation matters at any stage of a project and delivers a full-service integrated tax solution to his clients. His clients include strategic (private, public, Canadian and foreign multinationals), infrastructure, real estate, and private equity funds.

In addition, Brony is the tax representative of the National Power, Utilities, and Renewables Practice at KPMG in Canada. He has extensive experience in renewable energy projects where he provides tax advice on both inbound investments by Canadians & non-Canadians, and outbound investments by Canadians where he works closely with his counterparts in the United States, Europe, and Asia to deliver an integrated tax solution to his clients. Brony has led numerous transactions, assisting clients in determining the optimal tax acquisition/divestiture structure, assessing tax exposures in performing due diligence, reviewing financial model from a tax and ITC perspective, and providing post-close tax advisory, as well as compliance assistance for a seamless integration.
