John B. Harrison

Chairman, KPMG's Asia Pacific Region—John B. Harrison

John is Chairman of KPMG's Asia Pacific region, and Senior Partner of KPMG China and Hong Kong, SAR.

He joined the U.K. firm's London office in 1977 after obtaining B.Sc. Mathematics from Durham University. He transferred to KPMG in Hong Kong in 1983 and became a partner in 1987. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

John has been involved in the banking, finance and aviation industries for many years. His major clients have included HSBC, Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Fortis Bank Group and Cathay Pacific Airways. He has considerable experience in financial statements audit, assurance based advisory services, corporate governance and financial risk management.

John was elected as Chairman of the KPMG firms in China and Hong Kong in 2003. He is also a member of KPMG's International Management Committee, International Board and International Council.

John is a member of the Board of Inland Revenue and a school councilor at The English Schools Foundation.

John and his wife Rona have three daughters who all enjoy Asian travel, trekking and snow skiing.
